School policy for group courses- Online class
Westminster International has the following cancellation and refund policy for all group English courses. Please ensure that you fully understand these terms and conditions.
1. Westminster International (WI) will always do its utmost to ensure that all classes run to schedule.
2. If a class has to be rescheduled; for example, due to a teacher being absent through illness, then WI will always reschedule the hours in full.
3. Group classes cannot be rescheduled by the students under any circumstances.
4. If a student misses hours from a course, WI is under no obligation to make up these hours.
5. If a student decides to leave the course, for whatever reason, no refund will be given.
6. If a course cannot be run on a particular date, we will ensure we arrange a replacement course as soon as possible. No refund will be given.
Please note that the following conditions apply to the guarantee uplift in IELTS score which WI offers
7.Zoom classes may be recorded by WI (for students’ learning purposes only). Students may not copy or share these recordings with anyone under any circumstances. Breaking this condition will result in immediate removal from the class without any refund and in addition, further legal action may be taken.
School policy for guarantee uplift in IELTS score
Please note that the following conditions apply to the guarantee uplift in IELTS score which WI offers.
Students must attend for 100% of the duration of the course(s)
8. maximum of 3 late arrivals to class (lateness is counted as more than 15 minutes after the start time of the class) is permitted for the duration of the course(s). WI will not accept technical issues related to getting online as a reason for lateness.
9. Students must attend online classes with camera and audio always switched on (unless express permission has been given by student services)
10. Students must study online classes with a PC, laptop or tablet – studying via a phone is not permitted.
11. Students must study online classes in a calm and quiet private space.
12. Students cannot leave the online classroom without the permission of the teacher.
13. 100% of homework must be submitted satisfactorily.
14. Students must complete all the exercises on the Self-Study record. All writings must be submitted to the teacher or to student services, and the student must take an ‘IELTS Extra’ tutorial.
15. The IELTS exam needs to be taken within 10 days of finishing the course.- If IELTS exams are not being run when the student’s course finishes, the student will be allowed to take the exam within 10 days of the first available IELTS exam date.
16.The guarantee allows for one repeat of an IELTS Express, or Advanced IELTS course.
17.There is no guarantee for Pre-IELTS courses.
