School policy for group courses – Face to Face Class

Westminster International has the following cancellation and refund policy for all group English courses. Please ensure that you fully understand these terms and conditions.

1. Westminster International (WI) will always do its utmost to ensure that all classes run to schedule.

2. In the event that a class has to be rescheduled; for example due to a teacher being absent through illness, then WI will always reschedule the hours in full.

3. Group classes cannot be rescheduled by the students under any circumstances.

4. If a student misses hours from a course, WI is under no obligation to make up these hours.

5. If a student decides to leave the course, for whatever reason, no refund will be given.

6. If a course cannot be run on a particular date, we will ensure we arrange a replacement course either in an alternative Bangkok centre, or as soon as possible. No refund will be given.

School policy for guarantee uplift in IELTS score

Please note that the following conditions apply to the guarantee uplift in IELTS score which WI offers

7. Students must attend for 100% of the duration of the course(s).

8. A maximum of 3 late arrivals to class (lateness is counted as more than 15 minutes after the start time of the class) is permitted for the duration of the course(s).

9. 100% of homework must be submitted satisfactorily.

10. Students must complete all the exercises on the Self-Study record. All writings must be submitted to the teacher, and the student must keep audio recordings of the speaking practice exercises or take an ‘IELTS Extra’ tutorial.

11. The IELTS exam needs to be taken within 10 days of finishing the course.

12. The guarantee allows for one repeat of an IELTS Express, or Advanced IELTS course.

13. There is no guarantee for Pre-IELTS courses.

14. Recording of your face-to-face IELTS class using a personal recording device (such as a smartphone) is not permitted

15. In the event that your face-to-face class cannot run due to staff illness, Westminster reserves the right to move your class Online for the duration of the teacher’s illness.
